MID-Ship Logistics Says Goodbye to Longtime Team Member

After 35 years with MID-Ship Logistics, George Kachmar has retired. As the first team member in 1991, he served as President of the Logistics Division and devoted his final five years with the company to business development.

Kachmar earned widespread recognition for his talent in pinpointing and supporting the evolving needs of both the company and its customers. His efforts played a crucial role in helping each achieve their objectives and foster strategic growth.

Senior Vice President Colin Schneider stated, “He is an innovative leader with deep commitment to the business. He ensured that those he recruited were equally invested and made sure to dedicate time to providing opportunities for growth to all members of the team.”

Team members noted that they will especially miss his energy and positive influence on the team’s culture. Vice President Sherry Denn said, “George possesses a remarkable ability to listen and foster individual development among team members. He inspired others to reach their full potential and created a work environment that was both productive and enjoyable. The sky was the limit.”

In his retirement, Kachmar plans to pursue many rounds of golf and spend lots of time with his grandchildren. Congratulations to George on his well-deserved retirement.
