Watco T-Shirt Sales Support Housing for Families of Hospitalized Service Members
Once again, Watco team members, family, and friends have come through to support members of the military.
Proceeds totaling more than $4,200, from the sale of Watco Independence Day shirts featuring the company’s Proud to Keep America Moving logo, will go to the Fisher House Foundation.
The nonprofit builds comfort homes where military and veteran families can stay free of charge, while a loved one is in the hospital. These homes are located at military and VA medical centers around the world.
The organization also facilitates the donations of hotel points and frequent-flyer miles, and it operates a college scholarship program for children of active, reserve, and retired military members.
For eight years in a row, Watco has supported military and veteran nonprofits through sales of Watco-branded, patriotic merchandise for Independence Day. The sale of 950 shirts this year brings Watco’s total contributions to over $35,000 since 2019, the first year of what has become an annual fundraiser.
