From Newcomer to Key Player
OCTOBER 2025 — Within any organization, there are individuals whose unwavering commitment and quiet resolve lift the entire team to new heights. For Watco, that individual is Jett Loenneke, a transportation coordinator whose journey from newcomer to indispensable team member exemplifies what it means to go above and beyond.
Loenneke first joined Watco in 2021, stepping into the workforce at just 19 years old. Starting as a transportation assistant (scheduler), he quickly proved himself, moving up the ranks and ultimately taking on his own customers.
Today, Loenneke serves as a transportation coordinator for a major big box retailer. He works alongside the customer and manufacturer to distribute fixtures for stores across the United States.
Watco inherited this supplier’s contract more than seven months into the year, right in the middle of busy season. They were, as Chase Futrell, strategic account team leader, described, “playing catch-up.” Futrell continued, “I had zero hesitation in giving Jett the primary responsibility of getting our new facility and partnership off the ground. He was the right person for the job and made all the difference.”
From the moment Loenneke took charge, his impact was immediate and profound. Within three weeks, he had transformed operations, earning high praise from both the customer and manufacturer. Their feedback was clear: “night and day difference,” and “smooth as clockwork.”
Futrell said, “He is always ready, willing, and able to jump in and help with anyone’s needs and customer needs. Jett has really come out of his shell. He’s learned to turn on to be that charismatic sales service provider they were needing.”
